A few years back, The Guardian newspaper in the UK published an article about how rock stardom can take years off your life. The article claims that experts have been able to detect, through thorough scientific methodology, that rock and roll is seriously detrimental to living a long and healthy life... duh! There was nothing in the article that made mention of the fact that as most rock and pop musicians enter their middle ages and especially their golden years, they tend to lose their edge, stop challenging themselves, and their music suffers greatly... and that's all true, too (though harder to prove scientifically)!
