Dancing Before They Were Stars
So, you think you can dance, eh? These folks certainly did – and most of them were quite good at it before they embarked on their careers as singers. Here is a list of some of our favourite dancer-turned-singers:

VANESSA CARLTON - This three-time Grammy nominee from Milford, Pennsylvania is best known for her hit single, A Thousand Miles, but before she was a singer, she started out as a dancer. The young performer was into ballet at the age of nine, and at fourteen-years-old, she was accepted to New York's School of American Ballet. Eventually she ended up pursuing a career as a singer – now instead of dancing while she sings, she is stuck to her piano, which makes it difficult for her to pull off those difficult pirouettes or fouetté en tournants… It would be great to see her get up from the ivory keys and dance every once in awhile, though – she could even do the Mashed-Potato, or the Watusi! Or she could set her piano on fire and do some shamanistic dance around the flames… anything – c’mon girl, spice it up a little!!! (credit: Getty Images)

Did a great job in Cell Block Tango, in the movie adaptation of Chicago, too.

Um, notice how all the references were more recent? Like having done something in the last 10 years? I'm all for throwing around the Canadian content, but at least find a reference that fits into the category?

Holy shit dude or whatever you are. What language are you trying to write here. If that's english, I seriously suggest you go back to elementary school. You're in serious need of some language lessons...in fact, all of them.

To the posters who can't write - F**k, I am getting so sick and tired of the lack of language skills so many posters possess. No caps, no punctuation, no basic sentence skills. I'm surprised so many of you have jobs. I'm assuming you do. No surprise for those who don't. You'll never get a great job unless you've got at least basic language skills.

GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!
