Rock Star Baby Names Gone Wrong
Naming your children can be a daunting task, because you are essentially deciding the path of their life with that one big decision. Jerry Seinfeld spelled it out in one of his stand up moments on his show: “I think when you name a baby Jeeves, you've pretty much mapped out his future, wouldn't you say? Not much chance he is gonna be a hitman I think after that”. In fact, studies have shown that there is a correlation between weird names and crime. In the professional journal Social Science Quarterly, Shippensburg University professor David Kalist says giving newborn boys unusual first names makes them more likely to land in jail. Kalist and his associate, Daniel Lee looked at 15,000 names given to baby boys between 1987 and 1991. The more unusual the name, the more likely that boy is to commit a crime. So, why do we subject our little ones to this type of unfair treatment? Celebrities are the biggest culprits for this strange behavior – they love to give the weirdest names to their offspring, for example: Nicholas Cage named his son Kal-El Coppola; Penn Jillette from comedy/magic duo Penn and Teller named his daughter Moxie CrimeFighter; and Puck from the Real World called his son Bogart Che Peyote. Seriously, why would you subject your children to that kind of torture??

GWEN STEFANI & GAVIN ROSSDALE – Gwen and Gavin have 2 kids, KINGSTON JAMES MCGREGOR ROSSDALE and ZUMA NESTA ROCK ROSSDALE. Kingston is not such a weird name, but they definitely went for broke with Zuma Nesta Rock! Zuma is the name of a beach in Malibu (as well as the name of a Neil Young album from the 70’s), Nesta is Bob Marley’s middle name, and Rock? Well, that one is obvious… By naming their newborn son Zuma Nesta Rock, Gwen and Gavin ''have proven decisively that they're masters in choosing names that are both highly unusual and carry a lot of personal meaning,'' says baby name expert Pamela Redmond Satran, co-author of The Baby Name Bible… Wait - There are people who make a living as baby name experts??? So, what can we say about Ms. Satran’s name? Take out the “r” and what do you get... Baby naming expert? C'mon, we know your real mission on earth, and we don’t need your evil influence!!!
