A music industry veteran has blasted Clive Davis, calling the legendary record exec "a colossal pig" over his handling of Whitney Houston's death.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, avant-garde musical artist Diamanda Galas took to Facebook earlier this week to chastise Davis, who discovered and first signed Houston back in 1983. Galas charges Davis with forcing Houston to perform when she should have been concentrating on her health and blasted the mogul for not canceling his Grammy party upon word of her death.

"I mourn the death of Whitney Houston, whom I adored," Galas begins. "Her incomparable voice, which influenced almost every R&B and pop singer worldwide, her stage presence, which no one can touch, and her beauty, tough and sweet, moved me.

"Whitney … Whitney … was put back onstage before she was ready to perform - by the colossal pig Clive Davis – who continued his party in the same hotel where she died and where her body still lay. Heresy."

Galas, who has released 21 studio albums over the course of her long career, says Houston should have been working to repair her voice, rather than being forced back on stage.

"Whitney should have been allowed to study for a minimum of two years with a voice therapist/teacher before even rehearsing, let alone performing, onstage," she writes. "What was she put onstage as? A lesson that 'drugs kill'? 'Hey wanna see a crack ho sing?' Courtesy of Clive Davis."

A spokesperson for Davis has already responded to the attack, telling THR: "While Ms. Galas is entitled to her uninformed opinion, her Facebook post is wholly inaccurate and offensive. Clive Davis cherished Whitney and shares a mutual love for the Houston family. It is absolutely outrageous for anyone to suggest that Mr. Davis ever had anything but Whitney's best interest at heart."
