Fat Joe is separating from his wife of 17 years.

TheYBF.com reports that the hip-hop superstar and his wife Lorena Cartagena are calling it quits after she blew her top upon learning that the rapper was having an affair.

The gossip site claims that Cartagena learned that Fat Joe – real name Joseph Antonio Cartagena – has been secretly seeing a 26-year-old who goes by the name "Ms. Dubai." Cartagena supposedly learned of the tryst via text message, after photos of Joe and Ms. Dubai were sent to her phone by a close friend.

Another friend tells TheYBF that the broken-hearted bride is taking it all in stride.

"Happy to say, Lorena is fine and well at this point and as stressful as the situation has been for her, she has a lot of peace with just raising her daughter," says the friend.

Fat Joe and Lorena have a 5-year-old daughter.

The site alleges that, though Fat Joe was initially discreet in his dealings with the mystery woman, he had begun flying her out to his events and bringing her to parties.

Fat Joe released his last album, The Darkside Vol. 1 in the summer of 2010. A follow-up is expected later this year.
