Carrie Underwood reveals release date of 4th studio album
February 2, 2011
Good news Carrie Underwood fans!
The American Idol and country superstar has announced that she will release her highly anticipated fourth studio album on Tuesday, May 1.
Billboard reports that the as-yet-untitled release will be produced by Mark Bright, who also worked on Underwood's first three albums.
Last week she revealed that the title of the first single will be "Good Girl" and that the song will hit radio on February 23.
Carrie's last album, the platinum-certified Play On, was released in 2009.
'I am so excited to finally have new music,' she says, according to The Boot. 'I was lucky enough to have an amazing tour from my last album, and it feels like it's been forever, but I really had a blast writing the songs, making the music, taking my time, because I wanted it to be perfect, and I feel like we're there. So, it's very exciting for me to have new stuff to sing.'
Underwood will appear at the 54th Grammy Awards on February 12.
