  • ABOUT THE SHOW

Two singer songwriter comedians (One Franco, One Anglo) have created an earnest yet painfully oblivious partnership writing music jingles for real (as in, actually existing and participating) brand clients.

The program will follow their "creative arc" as they move through the various stages of crafting jingles.

The Elite Music Composers & Publishers is a 3yr old threadbare operation run by one ambitious owner whose own ambition far exceeds his talent, he goes by the name Clifton Davis aka CTD.

He currently employs our two jingle writers who currently have had minimal success writing jingles etc, but far less than they started and now help to sustain their modest working operation.

Stay tuned this season to see what happens.

    Terry McGurrin as Etienne Clouthier

The French-Canadian jingle writer: experiencing a mid-life crisis despite being in his early thirty's, Pierre is a serial dater both in Toronto and Montreal, with a tinge of femininity. One day dreams of writing hit song for Madonna.

Dresses in the latest European Fashion and makes his mark with his signature look. Our jingle writer actually sleeps in the jingle house which further adds to his bohemian lifestyle.

Alan Park as James Thompson V

The hard drinking English-Canadian jingle writer: now in his mid-late thirty's; once had what he thought was a promising career with the labels (in reality, it was just terrible time for pop music in general), but any pretense of success was crushed when, at an office Christmas party for a second rate production company, he got drunk and told off the president in front of the entire company.

He's tall, lanky as well as scruffy looking but you can still tell he comes from Old school money. Comes from a very privileged background but has lost it all.

    Lorne Frohman as Clifton Davis

The miserable neurotic boss/manager: has been through three divorces, tends to stutter when extremely upset (which is often), constantly "on the prowl" for female validation. He keeps the operation afloat by being able to schmooze with the best of them while shoveling more crap then a peasant in a cow paddock- works all the angles like Roger Federer on speed.

He was exiled from the creative agency world, and considers this to be his chance at both redemption and indirect payback. Pushes the guys on a constant basis, and his mood swings appear to be dependent upon the validation given to him by his unobtainable receptionist.

    Ashley Murphy as Tiffany Stein

The attractive young receptionist: uses her looks to her advantage while trying to define her role in the music house. She holds a masters in business and very well educated but she's looking to create an opportunity in the music business for herself. Early 20's attractive model, and has presence when you see her.
